Performing Arts LAMDA

Weekly Performing Arts classes at the Welland School of Dancing. Throughout the term, our students will work on a variety of skills to help them improve their confidence and stagecraft, culminating in the opportunity to take their LAMDA exams.

Each week the students will learn how to warm up their voices and bodies safely and improve on their vocal technique. We will use drama and team games to help everyone bond as a group and give everyone a chance to share their ideas. As well as improvisational work we will also use scripts and poems too so the members can learn a variety of skills. We will then use these skills towards a production and then our LAMDA exams towards the end of term. 

LAMDA are an awarding organisation, offering world-renowned qualifications in communication and performance and inspiring the next generation of confident communicators through our examinations in drama, literature and poetry.

We believe drama has the power to transform lives. We want more people to share in this experience through training, qualifications, work, productions and facilities.
